Recently, Joanie photographed our son’s one-year milestone. The family portraits were beautiful, and she captured the essence of our son’s emerging personality. Our session was in the evening, close to our son’s bedtime, so he was tired and more serious than usual. Joanie was very patient with him and managed to make him smile and laugh. We have trusted Joanie with two of the most memorable events in our lives, our wedding, and our newborn’s first portraits. Our wedding was seven years ago and since then I have envisioned the day that Joanie would be able to photograph our baby. Seven years later, it finally happened. Joanie worked with us to schedule the session within 2 weeks of her birth so that the photos captured the sweet newborn sleepy faces and her tiny features that have already changed at 7 weeks old. 2) Joanie and her staff were on time for our events. They were actually early; when we arrived, they were already set up and ready to start shooting!

They made me feel very relaxed and comfortable the day of the wedding (and that was the first time I had met Joanie in person). I was very impressed with this aspect, as it almost felt like it was one of my friends taking my pictures.

From our initial consultation through the delivery of our engagement and wedding photos, Joanie Clay was very professional and fun to work with. Joanie helped us tailor a custom package that suited our needs and budget. Our Engagement session photos were very beautiful, thanks to Joanie’s skills and directions. On our wedding day, Joanie arrived early before all other vendors. She and Kristin even helped the groomsmen with their boutonnieres! We absolutely loved working with Joanie and Joanie Clay Photography for our wedding. When we were looking for photographers, we wanted to find someone who could capture the natural beauty of a moment. When we first met with Joanie we instantly clicked and the work she showed us was beautiful. Her use of natural light was one of the biggest draws when we decided to go with her as a photographer. Working with Joanie was a pleasure the entire time. She is very responsive via both phone and e-mail and is always there if you have questions or concerns. On the day of our wedding, she arrived early at the venue to look around and scout the location. She captured all the moments that we requested and more. All of our guests who have seen the photographs have commented on how beautifully done they are. We received our photos and album in the mail in a timely matter and we love them all.
